Norwegian Landscapes

Usually the bad weather comes from the South (left) with heavy wind and waves, carrying rain and washing fast away any wish to be outside. This time it took me by surprise - nice, slow, no wind. In one and half hours the beautiful sunset was covered by the dark drop curtain. The End. :)
An evening view from Langdrage/Blomsøya towards the North, the mountains Dønna at left and De Syv Søstre at right.
Tennskjæret. Summer 2013 was very rich in plant life (photo), while at summer 2014 all the plants on the rocks died of drought.
In 2019, the plants are back - Roseroots and others.
Tennsjkæret. Same place, different weather. There's a shipping lane passing the mountain chain on the background. So there are all kind of ships passing day and night, with all kind of weather. Most of them are cargo ships like the one on the photo.

I was out at midnight, wandering around with the camera. Silence all over the world... And suddenly - loud disco music aaproaching!? Then I noticed a light moving closer behind the small islets in front of the mountains. A ship, a realised, put up the tripod, fixed the camera, and there it was - a Noah's arch filled with our noisy civilization, passing by in the mid of the silent Scandinavian night. :)
With wind and certain light, the water looks green as the sea bottom is sandy.
Lighthouse at small rocky peninsula called Langdrage at Blomsøy island, Helgeland coast, North-Norway.
Langdrage. Snow clouds in the South, over Vega islands.
A GRAY DAY.  Austbø at Helgeland coast, Nordland. De Syv Søstre on the background.
Photographed at Høgøya in Helgeland, just before thunder and heavy rainfall. Had to stay in boat in the lee of the island for half an hour, before the worst wind was over, and we could drive home in the gray and rainy weather that followed this beautiful moment.
White summer nights look like this in Helgeland. Sunrise/sunset behind Mountain Dønna.
Nordland boat.
Sunset at Kolskjæret, Blomsøya. Taken years ago, but in the meanwhile I have not had any luck with such a perfect moment at the same spot: high tide, colors and no wind.
Still evening, almost twilight. Seascape in Helgeland. The mountain Dønna on the horizon.
The Syv Søstre mountain chain photographed from Nord-Akerøya in April 2017.

Evening at Blomsøya, August 2017.
Rødøya (Rødøyfjellet), the Red island is often lit up by the sunlight and the rest of the landscape in shadow. The island is "made of" serpentinite rock, green inside and due to weathering, orange/red on the surfice.
A fisherman is checking if there's any halibut to get this afternoon. Btw, you are not allowed to fish out a halibut over 2 meters in some areas in Norway (from October,9, 2017). If you get that big halibut, you have to let it back in the sea, dead or alive, because of your own safety -- the amount of toxines accumulates in the older fish over time...

Once more, evening at Kråka. 2019.

Same evening as above at the Southern tip of Nord-Akerøya, but 200 meters and 20 minutes earlier.
View from Austbø towards De Syv Søstre mountains at Helgeland coast, Nordland county.  Probably 2015.
Austbø, same place in 2018.
Another quiet and warm day in Helgeland. Steinskjæran, August 2019
View from Naustøya towards De Syv Søstre, 2018. Explorer is driving by. :)
